The construction of a prestigious new head office to showcase Ericsson's products demanded both dedicated resource and specialist Information Technology knowledge.

Ericsson appointed ASA to manage the design, installation and commissioning of the new Information Technology installation for its 5,000sqm head office in Johannesburg's northern suburbs.

ASA became an integral part of the Ericsson team, focused purely on the success of the new head office project and allowing in-house staff to concentrate on core business activities.

The project involved one of the first fibre-to-desktop backbone installations in Sub-Saharan Africa with a wireless LAN. Project management of prototype installations requires careful planning and teamwork, areas in which ASA has taken the lead in this region.

An intimate understanding of the whole development process was critical as it allowing ASA to drive Information Technology project in tandem with the building construction project.
